I sent email asking for more info to Anthony Lane Partners>>>>>
Hello,
I am a part-time resident of Keweenaw County and have enjoyed the KML for many years. Given your recent announcement of the acquisition (not sure if the purchase process is complete) can you share any plans/vision for it's use (beyond what has been shared in the Mining Gazette) and will it's future include public access as a restaurant/lodge/hotel??
I understand and appreciate the concept of alternative energy research and application and it's use potentially reducing operating costs at KML. It was unclear to me whether as a center for conferences/retreats whether public access as it is today would be maintained.
Can you tell me more about the Rhea Institute. I could not find any info on the WEB.
Thanks much,
Jim Simak
Response>>>>>
Hi Jim,
Thank you for your inquiry. We are very excited about the opportunity to acquire the KML. As of right now, our intention is for the resort to remain open to the public. We are incubating ideas for how to put the facility to best use.
As for The Rhea Institute, we have been developing the concept and logistics for the Institute for some time and have been looking for the right property on which to locate it. We believe that we have found that location at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge. Our objective is to bring our plans for The Rhea Institute to fruition alongside our development of the KML facility.
We very much appreciate your interest and support. Best regards...
Email sent to Nature Conservancy as to whether they have head of these folks.
